I'm new to this forum.

I've been with this bike for almost 6 months. I'm the third owner, paid peanuts for a great bike with some nice mods (Lambo yellow paintjob and custom fairings, Muzzy stainless steel full exhaust system, integrated rear signals, scooped seat, Dyno-Jet kit with a K&N air filter, front fairing flushed w/ LED signals). The previous owner scooped the seat because he was tiny (5'0") but I like being lower even at 5'9".

I may be losing engine pressure. I thought it was my throttle at first and tightened it but I fear I may have blown or loosened a gasket. Is there any easy way to tell without taking her into the shop? Consistency from the throttle seems to get better when I have the choke on (even when the bike is warm) which doesn't quite jibe with a loose gasket but I imagine there is someone here who knows better than I do.
