Default Remove all traces of oil

elr658 correctly suggested that I thoroughly clean the gasket surfaces of the head and the valve cover with acetone prior to installing the new valve cover gasket. He also made it very clear that "The only place that RTV is used on a Kawasaki was the cam end caps." Lightly schmeeeer RTV on the new end cap when you install them. I followed his suggestions to the "T" I have no leaks.

Someone suggested that now is the time to check your valve clearances. I do not know if you have the under bucket shim or the above bucket ship but it would be a good idea to get the feeler gauge out to see where you stand. The overwhelming consensus is to set them loose. I was and still am absolutly amazed at what properly adjusted valves will produce. Hang On dearly!
