You may get away without changing your cables if you don't mind them hanging straight down from the bars. It's a matter of taste.
If I were you, I'd order up some 14" stainless cables from scootworks.com You should double check on the length, but that sounds about right for a 13 inch rise.
You may also consider ordring some bars that are slotted for the wiring to snake through. That really cleans up and gives you a custom look. Nice bikes the 800s. Enjoy.
