Don't need the pink pony...I love the 3 digit speeds, as well as long distance rides. Never thought much about the iron butt, as paying the fee and worrying about the documentation/etc for a pin/sticker to "prove" my calloused butt tolerence is a waste in my book. Grab some fellow riders and make the ride on your own, the memories and stories will still be there, and the money saved on the IB fee's can pay for a round or two at dinner.
Not knocking your desire to do the IB, just throwing in my perspective. The rides outlined for the IB are tough/challenging rides, I just don't see the point in needing to prove my riding to others by wearing a pin/patch or placing a sticker on the scoot.
