I forget that one of the differences between the Southeast and Western parts of our great nation is that Dodges of any form were not very popular here in the South until the black Charger showed up in "The Fast and the Furious".
I was teased regularly in high school because I drove a solid black '79 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4. It wasnt a bow-tie or a blue oval so it was "different" and "junk". UNTIL I got calls after school from friends who would take their trucks and get them stuck in the woods and need me to come pull them out. Then it was all different.
What really got my attention when I first visited the Western half of the U.S.? Not the Grand Canyon. Not the Wasatch Mountains in Utah but the abundance of sharp Dodge products rolling down the roads.
