Wink KLX power

I have just recently sold a 2006 KLX 250 which i thought was apretty good bike, and as far as i know the motor is still the same. When i brought mine new it was restricted in the carby and the airbox and had no go at all. This needs to be looked at straight away. I got the dealer to rip the restriction in the carby out and to cut the little snorkel off the top of the airbox, gave it twice as much power. If you have already done that, the next step would be to put a KLX 300 barrell and put on your bike using your head, i live in Australia and could get it as a genuine accessory so you shouldn't have a problem. when the dealer put that on they re jetted it and i also put a staintune slip on muffler on it. This all cost me $1600 australian dollars. The result of those modifications was the bike had so much more torque and power, it pulled up hills heaps better and was just an all round better bike. Don't change the gearing, it'll either rev like a ***** or if you gear it down it'll have less power. Please let me know how you go.
