Kind of the nature of the beast,it is a kx,it is a moto-x bike and that is somewhat how they are...but there are a few things that can often really improve the situation. Most often ,there is a HUGE difference between being jetted "perfect" vs." almost perfect"...the way to perfect jetting is done by actual testing only...read the jetting guide .

Also some aftermarket pipes can offer you more bottom end if that is what suits your riding...look for words in the piupe description like "gnarly" or "grunt" ...look at fmf or PC sites and do some reading.

Also V-force reeds,although expensive seem to always work well on small mot-x bikes to improve low end response.

Finally,some light engine work from one of the motocross engine ppeople will help,as a bit of compression increase(requiring you to use high test 92 gas) will help bottom end a lot.

Start with perfect jetting.
