I doubt you will find a dealer that will even work on the bike. Most dealers won't work on anything over 10 yrs old and some less than that. The techs are trained on modern bikes and don't know how to work on something that old.
With a little patience you should be able to find a used alternator/stator on ebay for a lot less than that.
