All, I've been visiting the site for a little bit and just joined as I am in the final stages of finishing a total rebuild on a 1983 kx80. One quick question. How tight should the bolts be that hold the clutch springs in the basket? I thought at first they were supposed to be tightned all the way but then realized that there was no travel between the plate on top of the springs and the throwout bearing. The result was the clutch being fully engaged. Is there a torque spec or am I supposed to unscrew a certain distance? Thanks will post pics later.
