These plug magnets are not simply glued into plug, its pressed in and epoxied in the base, the magnet is about 12mm deep in the bolt. This is the only way you can make a drain plug without having a stupid stick poking out like the cheap ones on ebay. This has stock clearances as the bolt is the same dimensions as the old one. The cheap ones you find on ebay will only work on bikes and cars with not any mechanical part near it, since they poke out a extra 1" or so over stock if there is like a crank or whatever spins in the area it will hit it.
