It is pretty simple to remove the starter, just follow the procedure outlined in the service and repair manual. If it is a gas rig, pay particular attention to disconnecting the negative cable on the battery before you start so you do not blow the Igniter.

My wheel bearings have always lasted the life of the Mule and still been going when I sold them. But, I service them every year and use Hydrotex Hydro-syn 70, not a cheap grease but bearings are not either.
