I love my modular (HJC), but it is noisy, on longer trips I use ear plugs, I'm still able to hear the engine noise and horns and such, that matters, but I love the conveince of the flip up to be able to talk when stopped, drink, eat and such. Plus as a woman, I love the better on/off ease as not to rip my hair out. It definately has an advantage in the summer by being able to vent it more when stopped.
