Did you ever figure out how to change the oil? I assume you were referring to transmission oil, not 2-stroke oil.
I ask because I bought one last weekend, a great little toy with almost no miles on it. However, there's no dipstick and no sight glass that I can see, unfortunately, there's also no manual. So since it's been a few months, I figure you may have found out.
BTW, mine has a dead battery, the lights are really dim, almost no flashing to be seen when the blinker is on, perhaps your battery is toast too.
Can't help you out with the bogging down issues that hasn't already been said.
