If the chain did come all the way off, I would pull the front spocket cover and make sure it did not "chew" anything up when it slipped off.

If you were at speed, something got damaged when it came off. Inspect everything carfully. A weakend chain is nothing you want to be ridding with.

PS. you can get a good used Clyamor manual on eBay around $12. I was lucky that the previous owner of my bike gave me the Claymor manual and I picked my OEM service manual up on eBay for $.99 (only the pictures are really dark)
