well now....without knowing it you have opened a can of worms my find friend.
there is and has been a long going discussion on my audio forum whether or not those who listen to their music on CD are true audiophiles. I weigh in on the matter in such that if you listen to the SACD recordings and play vinyl as well then yes, you are an audiophile but if you just listen to run of the mill CD's highly compressed mass produced lacking any depth or clarity, you cannot be an audiophile, no matter how expensive your system is. garbage in garbage out my good man.
