Hey all, new rider here as well. I took the MSF course this past weekend, and had a lot of fun while learning a ton. Went in having never rode a bike before and by the end of it I was pretty comfortable. Anyhow, I went and bought an '05 ZX-R on monday . Having it delivered tomorrow, so I can't wait to ride that baby !! Question.. I am 5'5 1/2" abouts, and had it lowered one click in the rear bc I had to stand on tippie toes while seated on bike. My feet still aren't flat on the ground, (it's about like a passenger sitting in the rear with it lowered a click). I'm on the balls of my feet you know.. I'm just wondering if this is a bad idea to ride like this, or if I should lower it to the point my whole foot is completely on the ground. Now, I haven't ridden it yet so I don't know how it will be.. just trying to get an opinion. Oh, and the guy at the dealer told me I could lower it another click but that I'd have to cut the kickstand and adjust the front suspension.. and riding another passenger over 100 lbs would be rough on rear suspension so I don't know if that would be worth it. Anyhow, any feedback would be appreciated !!! Great forum too btw.
