My family and I go to Disney Orlando about every other year. We always stay in the park ( off site hotel, but still on the grounds).We put together a package plan from the website. Last time we went we stayed at Pop Century hotel. Very nice- even the hotels are themed. I do recommend paying for the meal plan. We ate in the nice restaurants every day we were there and ate what we wanted at much less than the price of the plan. Even in Sept. you are still gonna have lots of kids. You have to watch the fireworks from main st. at least once while you're there, i feel like a little awestruck kid with the fireworks and soundtrack playing. Tower of terror, Space mountain, and Soarin are must rides. if you like science, the beginning section of Epcot is for you( my fave).Go with a park hopper pass, this way if you get bored, you can just hop the bus or monorail and switch parks at no cost.
