As you imagine Deals Gap is a blast...just be sure to wear gear and ride within your limits or the "Dragon" will bite/eat you. Everyweekend there are accidents, there have been a some fatalities in the last 4 months aswell. Its not a place to be taken lightly. Be sure to ride the Cherohala...it has long sweeping turns and great scenery!
So yes it is fun but just be as safe as possible and still enjoy yourself. It is very busy on weekends during warm months and slower through the week. The Cross Roads of Time and Dragons Den Grill is a great place to rest and get a bite to eat or something to drink! I belong to a group called the East Tennessee Riders, some of us are up there nearly every weekend or weekday! Start saving up, its well worth it. There are lots of great roads in E. TN and W. NC.
