Do the reset procedure for engine service and the controller voltage should come back to specified levels.
These have a safety feature that sets the service light, normally keeps the four wheel drive locked out, and limits the engine rpm if they are not serviced by a dealer for the initial valve adjustment. The same condition will occur if the belt or clutches are not operating per specification.
So, if you reset the light and it turns on again, I would be checking the torque converter tolerances and belt dimensions.
If you bypassed the ECM control circuit in your wiring repairs, the ECM may not have actually reset when you reset the belt indicator. If that is the case you will need to follow the wiring schematic and make sure everything is connected as specified. I would tend to think that may be the situation if it runs good with the light turned on, but not all the controller regulated features are functional.
This may be a situation whereby you will be money ahead to have a dealer diagnose the codes from the ECM. They will narrow the probable causes and keep you from swapping parts needlessly.
