yeah, that "space age material" is 1/8" black ABS plastic. its a thermoplastic that becomes workable at 235 degrees F. I've got a 2'x4' section in my basement that i'm considering either making into leg armor, lower leg fairing, or a new seat.
i also have a 1/16" panel, i still have to dream up something to do with it.
