it's pretty straight forward

1.- support the bike on a lift securely, let the front forks extend until the
tire barely touches the floor
2.- remove the front caliper cover, and remove the caliper.
3.- remove the axle nut
4.- remove the pinch bolts
5.- slide out the axle shaft, and hold the speedometer gear(if an early model)
6.- lift the bike just enough to slide the front wheel/tire forward, on a drifter this could be a bit of a challenge, due to the long droop of the front fender.

Instalation is the reverse, just make sure to secure the axle nut first, then the pinch bolts second, in that particular order, and it helps if you sit on the bike and cycle the front suspension down to set the forks properly.
