You're missing the point... the less stable a vehicle, the faster it can change directions.. in theory, if a 250 was given the same quality suspension and contact patch area as your average 600 super sport, it *would* be able to carry a higher corner speed than the same 600. But 250's get a budget suspension, so they will NOT out handle a 600. A 600 will typically lap faster on a tight track with few long straights than a liter bike, where the ability to change direction trumps top speed and acceleration, but if the track suddenly becomes talladega... the 600 would be left in the dust, because there is more straight than turn.
everything is a balance... until you start throwing cubic dollars at the problem... a 250cc GP bike would likely embarrass a 600cc supersport.
