so you have the issue of gas pein out the over flow .typical.
i take by what i read you allready replaced the float needle.and still peein gas . i have a measurement off my friends float .but you may want to take a real good look at the float seat it self in the car.its brass and sometimes they corride and pit. which woudl cause the float needle tip not to seat properly stopin the flow of fuel.
the measurement i have is from the float bowl mount to the top of the float while its hanging down is 1/4 + or - 1/16.that is in the middle of center line of the float.
or if you hold the carb up like it would be on your machine the float is allmost settin level just hangin.if not just a taste lower than level.
but if you have never changed the floats id really be lookin at that seat closely.
also 1 question the over flow hose your talkin about is the is it on the bottom of the carb or on the upper side of the carb.
if its comeing out the lower hose the screw that is in the float bowl it self can leak due to a bad oring or screw also.
is your air box fillin with gas also?
hope this may help you out -corey-
