I have no idea what the exact service schedule is for that particular bike.
But as a shop owner that works on a ton of bikes, i would suggest you check the valves initially at say 2,000 or 3,000 miles, and then are likely good until every 10,000 to 15,00 after that first one.

It of course depends on your riding style.

But also remember that while it may sound like a big job, checking valves is actually a very easy job.

While some manuals say to check the valves at say just 600 miles, i have not seen valves out of spec that early, they usually require a bit longer IMO.

On my own bikes, I tend to check them at say 2,000 or so the first time.
Lots of times even then they are fine, but i am anal about maintenance, and would rather be sure they are fine, than just ride it and not know for sure.
