No, the initial 600 mile service is a "glorified oil change" as the owner at the shop that I bought my Z1000 told me. The oil gets changed and then the tech goes down a long list of bolts, parts, fluids, etc. A valve adjustment is
not on the list.

Bingo! The 2nd Gen engine was re-tuned
a little for more low end torque but nothing else.
