Yeah break in will be 4K rpms. it should be around 45mph might even be more, My 250 was 38mph i think at 4K.
Breaking in an engine today means basically only breaking in the piston rings. They need load/unload cycli by winding and unwinding the throttle. When you load them the compression will make the rings expand and wear in against the nicasil bore. Which might take some time by the way as the rings and cylinder bore are HARD.
the first 100 miles are seemingly important to baby it and as you get closer to 600 miles you can wing it, just dont tach it out.
Break in period also means, eat away warranty time.
