Are you sure its under the seat? The only ticking I have ever heard from Kawi is the valve chatter. They are well known for it. If it gets pretty loud then you most likely need a valve adjustment. If your sure its under the seat take the seat off and fire it up and see if you can track it down. I dont know of anything that would be back there besides the wiring for rear lighting.
