HOME
I was responding to my buddy when I realized what home really was, and what the Beartooth Kawasaki Forum was to me...Here is what I wrote:
Moving around in the military for an entire lifetime and then trying to "settle down", even where I always called my "Home of Permanant Record", is just missing something. I think that wha tis missing is the constant things like we just mentioned...sometimes it's harder or easier depending where you just came from, going to, or just adapt to. Chicago was one tough place for me. I didn't like it! New York scared me several times till I figured out how to "use" my knowledge. I've been lots of places and countries even, but almost always found something to take away that I loved. Chicago---Pizza, NOT! Their Italian Beef Sandwich! New York, long Island, egg Bagel, creamcheese and lox (smoked salmon!), San Diego, lots of Mexican food (real fish tacos), Morenci, AX has the best Mexican cornbread (sweet-cornbread with corn and jalapenos in it), I could go on and on, Newport (R.I. Clams) (OR. Blueberry Pancakes), WHY is is always food and not women, beer, wiskey, song, okay, Hawaii, Oahu, Honolulu, International Market place...they have women, song, lots of tourists, lots of resturaunts (food again?) sailboats, beautiful backgrounds, awesome diving, all the way around the island...the people and cultures are completely different in every place...New York, New York, San Francisco...Hong Kong, Seoul, Korea, Sydney, Australia...all different yet...I find the white sands of Arizona just as interesting. Perhaps it is the "transplants" or people that have moved in from other places, other cultures...maybe it's the military and the MIX of things I enjoy. Somewhat like riding motorcycles,,,some people just have to ride a honda, suzuki...they could afford a Kawasaki...maybe they just THINK their bike is as good as a Kawasaki...whatever it is...This FORUM, brought to us by BEARTOOTH KAWASAKI...is just the mix of people, just the mix of attitudes, the mix of wisdom(???)...IT's like my home...it's ME, thanks to ALL of YOU!!! Thank YOU!
