bsteff-the brakes on the 1600 are very good also-no problems with high speed stops
in fact i think the brake systems are the same,dual front disc and single rear disc
but the meanie has 300mm disc - i think the 1600 disc is smaller not sue though!
i know what you mean about I-10,the vulcan don't have a shield(i think i'm one of the few)
- and the sporty has one but i don't use it
- i think your gonna want to ride the 1600 classic if your gonna be traveling a little over here
but the meanie!!
