I have a KX125. I was told it is a 99 by the person I got it from. I recently found out that the plastic is off a previous year. That really didn't make any difference to me. Since the plastic isn't stock, I figured it was just swapped out for a different year. Now I need rear wheel bearings and fork seals. I have found out that in 97 the rear wheel bearings changed. 97-up take a 3 bearing setup rather than 2. I got the VIN# off the frame. I ran it on a VIN# site and it is coming back as a 95 Vulcan 1500.

I double and triple checked the number and it keep coming back that way. So now I am assuming that the bike is a 95 model. Does anyone know how to decode the VIN#? If the 10th digit in the VIN is the year, mine is "S". Can anyone help?
Thanks
Scott
