My take on the Scootworks pulley
Just had the dealer put on my pulley tonight, took about 40 mins. I thought the Belt was put on to tight but he said no but I can hear it sqeaking on the new pulley, guess I'll run it the way a couple days then loosen it if the sqeak does not go away.
Anway, on to the pulley. It is a good mod had a 40 mile ride home from the dealer 20 mi slab and 20 mi 2 lane really noticed a difference in 3-5, all shifts are about 5 mph per hour over what they used to be except when pullin on to the hiway, didn't shift into 5th until I hit 65 indicated. I didn't have my GPS with me to see what the difference in real speed to indicated but I did notice a difference. Did 80 indicated on the way up with the flow of traffic only 72 on the way back. Only time will tell if this was the way to go but initially seems like a good mod.BTW the bike is totally stock and while I didn't make a full throttle run I noticed no loss in performance. Will update this weekend after I put my GPS to it but suspect it will be the same as others have found.
