Mrs Fireman wanted to go riding today, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to take some photos of my part of the country and post them up, seeing as how y'all are generous about showing scenery from yours.
Got Starbuck ready to go, packed the saddlebags, chose a direction, and off we went.
The direction I chose just happened to include an area that overlooks my hometown and a rather large stretch of the Ohio River, as well as nice backdrop scenery for bike & wife type pictures!
Well, after a short but eventful trip, we arrived at the overlook. Got off and stretched our legs for a minute, then opened the bag to get the camera. Extra shirt, cigarettes, drinks, check. Camera, d***, forgot the camera!
So, no photos today, but we did have a nice ride. Stopped at a Mickey D's in the middle of nowhere because there were 4 Harleys and a Meanie setting there. 5 guys in the full biker gear, chaps, vests, boots, etc. Looked like rough, tough, dirtbag bikers. Sitting at an outside table eating ice cream cones. Real nice bunch of guys, just out for a weekend ride.
A good ride today, even if we did just about hit a deer, and just about crash because of loose gravel on the pavement.
