A good friend of mine has three Roomba machines (two vacuums and one floor washer) and swears by them. I used to give him a hard time about them; I thought they were silly.
Well, he got me one for my birthday. And wow! It's amazing. I love it! Right now, while I'm sitting in here typing, it's vacuuming my hallway, living room, dining room and kitchen. Yesterday it did the bedrooms. It does a really good job (an amazing job, really), and it's fun to watch. It does't fall down the stairs!
It's kind of like having a little pet, only this pet cleans up after you instead of your having to clean up after it.
I'm going to have to get the floor-washing model.
This is like having The Jetson's Rosy the Robot living in the house.
Now if only I could teach it to cook and do dishes...
