It actually is lighter than my '93 ZX-7. Handles way better. They put out a lot of power. With the stock sprockets you have to work pretty hard to get the wheel off the ground (without using the clutch) because of the wheel base and the weight. I'm thinking about dropping 1 or 2 teeth off my front sprocket but I haven't decided yet. Might do it anyway cause sprockets really dont' cost that much anyway. Myabe drop 1 off the front and add 2 in the back.
My 2002 ZX-9R is very comfy for long trips and I like it for scootin around town too. I'll be selling it next spring, cause I want a smaller profile bike, if you're interested
