I hope what you say is correct. If so, today's chromed plastic is better than the chromed plastic on my '67 Charger and '72 B300 Dodge van. A lot of the chromed plastic on those vehicles have significant area which now show the tan colored plastic underneath the chrome and those pieces weren't exposed to the heat some of the 900's chromed plastic pieces are being exposed to.
There also seems to be more than a few threads at this site discussing problems with the 900's fenders and things attached to those fenders.
