Hey moparman,the 800 are known for the problems you describe with or without stock pipes.The factory setting on the carbs are too lean.If you search around you can find several methods to fix this and the 800 will run great.Won't even need the choke.I don't know what you want to do with your pipes,airbox and stuff,but a place to start would be http;//ww.vroc.org/
