All,
I am in dire need of a Right Hand throttle case (P/N 46019-036) for my '74 F7 restoration project. I have tried 4 different NOS/OEM sources and they all say they can no longer get this specific part. This part was used on 18 different models in the '70s but only the '74 & '75 F7. It has the rocker style kill switch, NOT the rotary style (46018-020-10) case which won't work because of the way the throttle cable attaches to it. I have been checking fleabay for weeks and no one has one. Lots of left hand cases (turn signal/horn/high beam) but no right hand ones to be had. It doesn't have to be brand new but it can't be broken. Note that I don't need the kill switch or throttle grip, just the outer case shell and throttle cable attaching clip. I am willing to pay any reasonable amount for one in decent condition. If anyone has one or knows of where I can purchase one, I would be most grateful if you would pass that information along. Thank you for any/all assistance, John |

Good Afternoon John, I don't know where you got the part number 46019-036 for the throttle grip assy but I just wanted to let you know that number is wrong. The right part number is 46019-020. When I looked up part number 46019-036 I found out that it fits a KT250-A AND KT250-A2 and you don't have that model, so I looked up your bike and found the right part number for you, maybe now you will have better luck finding your part. Are the handle bars oem, what diameter are they? Can you get me the serial number of the bike so I can make sure I have the right part number for your bike. Thank You Sara

Hi Sara,
Thanks for posting on such an old thread. The P/N I used is for just the case assy. The P/N you gave me is for the entire throttle grip assy. If you look the bike up on Babbitt's for my year and model look at the small inset picture on the right side and scroll down to item number 38, that is the number you provided, I need number 39 which is just the case assy. BTW I managed to find what seems to be a suitable substitute on ebay. It's not the exact P/N but it fits the handlebar and had the throttle cable holder clip. I'd still like to find the correct P/N but it's been quite awhile and I check ebay a couple times a week and have had no luck. BTW, this website, Babbitt's, I don't recommend buying from them. I have a separate thread about them here: http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...-babbitts.html Thanks again John |
