    i never understood how germans are legal..they dont look like they have any padding in them

    Plenty of padding - it is DOT approved! It's designed just like any other street helmet just has the shape of a german war helmet.

    the DOT version has plenty of padding, the Non Dot ones dont

    Depends on the kind you have. They have novelty ones and DOT approved ones. They are considerably different.
