It's not possible to lose 10% fuel mileage without something else going on since you're putting in ONLY 2.5% maximum less energy per gallon.
If you've lost 10% fuel economy, there's something else going on. I bet you didn't know what your gas mileage was before and only started paying attention when ethanol was added.
My gas mileage goes down a good bit by Nov. compared to Mar. when I start riding, the reason being in Mar. I'm extremely cautious, by Nov. I'm running the **** out of the bike and fuel mileage suffers from running near WOT much of the time.
But at even at 48 mpg, I'm not too concerned.

funny then that myself and others do burn 10 % more to drive the exact same distance in a car, truck, bike etc.

sigh..............

.
Sorry, but you're wrong about people not keeping accurate mileage records. I've been keeping exact mileage records on all of my vehicles since I got my licence in 1957. Others here in Oregon also report 10% mileage drops since we have been forced to use 10% crappanol-laced gasoline. Yeah, as I first posted it doesn't make sense, but unfortunately it is fact.

+1.

and how can it not be accurate when i tend to outfit all my bikes with manual petcocks that have reserve, and ride until they die on the main, and then switch.
If you consitently get 10 or 11% less mileage to a tank on ethanol blends, than non ethanol blends, its impossible to have messed up the mileage calculations.
