KLE 500 Fuel Tank

In need for some info on the fuel tank.After i noticed what was a small fuel leak from the tank has now turned into a 2 inch hole on it.After having no joy finding one from the same age ive now found one that's from a 2005 model but was wondering if it would fit a 1996 model.Any info on this would be grateful as im itching to get back on the rd on it.

There's a simple way for that. Call a local kawasaki service and say: I have a 96 model KLE 500 and i want to change fuel thank with 2005 model oem outfitted fuel tank. Could you do that for service fee ?

Have tryed that with no luck.all I got was the part numbers where different but look the same

Well a bit of an update on the issue.Even though kawasaki told me that the tanks where different as they have different part numbers it turns out they are the same.Managed to get one for £80 and fitted like a dream.Next ill paint it up before i sell the bike
