Greenboy,
Please post again after servicing to let us know if the engine "spitting" after cornering is easily correctable or something else. Metallic green eh? So far our choice is limited to red. Maybe if it catches on in America the Versys will be offered to us in other colors as well. |

Yeah, I'm almost green...with envy LOL!
I really wanted to get a green Versys. Best I've found thus far is this: ![]() ![]() I guess I'm about due for my 3,000 mile write up - in about 250 miles. I'll keep you guys posted on what the Versys has been like as a daily rider, and I'll get my wife to write up her perspective as well, comparing it to the one other bike she's been a passenger on it on lengthy trips as well. |

I'll definately keep you posted. I thought you boys in the US got the first crack at everything, i like my Kawasaki's green and i have to admit the colour was one thing that stood out for me. The pictures on the website don't do the green justice, it's an awesome mettallic paint, kinda like the ZX9 was a few tears back. One question though, would you recommend i get the larger windscreen or not????

Just wondering if you can help me out, how much fuel is left when the speedo flashes "fuel". It did say in the manual that i got with the bike but i can't lay my hands on it. When your bike was brand new did it use more fuel then than it does now with a few miles on it. My bike hardly gets 300 kilometers out of a full tank which is about 185 miles. I'm hoping that it is still loosening up and will get better as it has only done 600 kilometers.
Looking forward to your next review Greenboy |

It will get better. I'm averaging 200 miles with 4 gallons of gas, or 321 kilometers with approx. 15 liters of gasoline. Thanks, and I'm going to post my 3,800 mile/6115 kilometer review this week |

So this is my first time posting on the forum. If you can't download the link I will post it right here:
To whom this may concern: This is Chelsea McNurlin, the wife of Donald McNurlin, I am writing my review of the Versys vs the Kawasaki vs the back of a friends motorcycle. Before my husband bought a motorcycle there was a friend, that was stationed in Connecticut and was my husbands shipmate buddy, that took me around on his motorcycle. I liked it well enough it was a good ride. And I felt relatively safe and comfortable. Did not have much gear on at the time- only a helmet that his wife at the time let me borrow and I think some gloves. When Donald bought the Kawasaki while we were stationed in Connecticut, tried to ride on the back of the motorcycle and found that it was only for one rider. The green Kawasaki looked like it would hold 2 people but that is not true. Due to my husbands height-6'0- to be comfortable on that motorcycle it could only use one rider. After he had enough experience we moved to the Versys. Now that is a good motorcycle. We went to visit my family over in Smyrna, Georgia. It was a quick and comfortable ride. Yes I was hunched over and had to stretch my back, but it was worth it. To see the scenery and to zip through the lanes it was fun. I didn't have any leg cramps- I am 5'1 with baggage around the middle- The ride was 1 and ½ hours long. If you want a good motorcycle get the Versys. Thanks for looking at the wife's point of view on the motorcycle. If you plan to visit Alabama look my husband up. He would love to have a few riding buddies. |

Really great review.
Have you taken the Versys off-road? I ask because, it is considered a jack-of-all trades by Kawasaki and I'm very interested in purchasing a dual-sport and yet all the reviews I've read thus far have not mentioned any off-road riding. So, I was wondering if you had any experiences with the bike off-road. Thanks

Who me or my husband? I am not much for forums. I was typing on my documents screen. I have some slow mentality problems that I take medicine for. So I typed what I was thinking for the review I was supposed to do a while ago.
That and I have to keep up with the format for job hunting
