Default G4TR-D /100 Owners Manual

Hi all, I just bought a '74 G4TR-D ,with 1657 original (verifiable) miles on it and would like to find an owners manual. I have parts and shop manuals from the E-place. Most pressing need is... can I shift the Hi/Low range while on the fly, or do I stop and shift, then go? I've never owned anything smaller than a 250 before and loved my Husky Sportsman, which was an "8" speed as well. Been riding and enduro-ing for 35 years, so not a newbie to bikes. Thanks for any help. Cheers...JJ
