The baffle can be removed from the muffler.I have a 2005 KLR 250 but am leaving it stock except for windshield,handgaurds,and a rear rack.Of course all of these can be removed very easily.Try the KLR 250 web site.

The baffle is in the end of the muffler.You have to remove a phillips head screw to remove it.I have read on the KLR 250 website that it usually does not just want to slide out.Most people seem to be useing a screwdriver and pliers to remove it.
