Exclamation Klr 250 Muffler Mods

I have an 89 klr250 and I am wanting a bit more power, but without spending any money. I would like to know if there is any way to de restrict the stock muffler??

The baffle can be removed from the muffler.I have a 2005 KLR 250 but am leaving it stock except for windshield,handgaurds,and a rear rack.Of course all of these can be removed very easily.Try the KLR 250 web site.

Default Baffle location

Where abouts is the baffle on your 2005 mdl?? i cant seem to locate it on mine.

The baffle is in the end of the muffler.You have to remove a phillips head screw to remove it.I have read on the KLR 250 website that it usually does not just want to slide out.Most people seem to be useing a screwdriver and pliers to remove it.

Question baffle

I think that my muffler has been stuffed around with, approx how long is the baffle?? (mine may have had the tip ground off but the rest not pulled out...?? if you understand what i mean .

I have not ever taken the baffle out but would guess it to be about 6 inches long.I will ask this question on a different site and try to get you a better answer.

Baffle is 2 or 3 inches long.
