I removed the inner rear fender and moved the license plate up this morning. I like this look better. I removed the license plate light, but if I get stopped the cops, I left room to install the light above the plate.
Please don't complain to much about my grass, I just killed off a bunch of clover. Next weekend I'm going to plant new grass seed. Mark

If you had mounted it high, right under the tail light, it would have lit the plate for you.
Thats waht I did at least, and it works.

I like both looks better than stock.
But I have to admit, that Saleen's mount looks a bit better, and I like the signals better too. And you could still mount a white LED under the rack to light up the plate. Either way it's a huge improvement. Good job both of you.

So I put those after market LED lights on it, and they are great. My inner fender went in the trash can, and I moved the plate up. I taped it in place first, and waited until dark and checked the light fall onto it from the tail light, and was surprised how well it was lit. But yes, it would be very easy to put say a small LED light on the bottom of the rack to light it even better. And since LED lights take basically zippitty for power, it could just be wired into the tail light as a source. If you go to LED signals add a resistor, or go to napa and buy the led flasher, costs about $12 only. Its right behnd the headlite, so undo the 4 screws on the windshield and take the WS off, and just reach in and pull it out. Its the black box with nippondenso written on it.
