Default Need parts interchange info...

Thanks for reading...

I have a 84 ZN 700 A1 (LTD) Its shaft drive, disc brake, 16 inch rear wheel.

I want to replace the rear wheel with one that matches the front in the pic below (its from a 86 454 LTD (EN 450))

I know a 87+ Vulcan 750 has the same wheel, but drum brake...15 inch...but is the drive side the same?

Or do these 2 bikes, LTD 700 and the Vulcan, use the same differential unit?

I also know a 82 Spectre has same wheel I want, shaft drive, disc brake, 16 inch...but I want a 15 inch.

I dont mind switching over to drum brake at all, as long as the drive side is the same.

So basically...which vulcan years are the same diff unit as my 700? if any...

and what year Spectre is the same drive as my 700 AND will the Spectre wheel be a direct bolt in swap?

Thanks again....

The final gear case fits the following models,

ZL600-A1 1986
ZN700-A1 1984
ZN700-A2 1985

Is this what you were asking for?

Thanks Jake, I appreciate your response.

That gives me some direction...I guess the real answer Im after is what model wheel will actually mate to that diff.

How about this picture...what models share this part?

42034

Perhaps a 86-96 Vulcan 750? Or maybe a 82-83 Spectre 750/1100?

Thanks again, Jake

Peace

Thats awesome Jake, thank you. That leads me to believe that any wheel from those bikes will mate to my diff unit...

Now I have the option of a 16 inch direct swap in with disc..or a 15 inch which will give me a drum brake, which I must change over.

But that drive side was what I really needed to know before buying any wheel online...the brake side I can deal with.

Thanks again...
