I'm about 5'4 or 5'5, and weigh about 145 lbs.

My problem is I keep dropping the bike because it's so heavy when I come to a stop or when I push it in neutral, is this because I need to work out more?

Another issue I am having is my height. I can't really flat foot on the ground and I am on my tippy toes. I am considering lowering the bike a foot or so, if I do am I able to only lower the rear? Does it affect handling? Will it help me against dropping the bike?

Anyone have any links for some good and cheap lowering links for the Ninja EX500? And also some turn signal cases? I dropped my bike the first night at a stop sign and it broke my front turn signal cases, my friends said their just about $10

 Hey everyone
Random question. I know a bike has a lot of electronics and its entire engine exposed. Whats the best way to wash my ninja? Can it be sprayed with a hose? Wipe it down with a cloth? What kind of cleaner? Thank for your responses. Happy Turkey Day

how interchangable are things between ZX6 generations?

For instance - the foot controls (pegs, brake, shifter). clip ons. wheels.

So will the stuff off of a 636 04-06 fit?

When I stopped I smelled something hot...you know, like you just know something got too hot. Temperature gauge is fine, so I continue on, no more smell and the scraping stops. I've never heard this noise before and it didn't do it anymore for the rest of my ride home, even when I used the front brake. It's a 2005 Ninja 250r..do you guys have any idea what might of happened? Oil level is fine too, FYI. Checked that after I got home.

I purchased a bike maybe 5 weeks ago. It was fairly new (2003), with few miles (6500), and hadn't been riden in 2 years (or registered). SO first things first it had $300 in deliquent registration fees. Next the bike decided it wouldnt start anymroe. So I had the carbs clean. Now I am suffering with two problems, one due to my own...actually they are both due to arrogance. I shouldn't have purchased a bike that wasn't running.

To the point...My bike is stalling, almost like it breaths. It gets random burst of energy and will idle around 3000 then itll calm down and idle at 500 to a slow stall. I will ride 20 miles on the freeway and when I get off at the light itll stall immediately. Its frustrating. Any advice? Also I guess I put my key in too hard and now its jamed so I tihnk I need to have the ignition repaired (I tihnk thats what its called.)

For those of you who follwed my last forum about break the news about getting a bike to my parents... I'm doing it tonight. Wish me luck!

So I know that kawasakis are usually cold blooded, but I'm not sure that is the issue (completely at least). When I first start my ninja (cold day or hot day) it refuses to stay on. It usually chugs at VERY low RPM's (as in i can hear the piston fire every time) before it falls on its face. To get it going I have to give it the slightest amount of gas, only after it has fired. If I give it too much (more than a flex of my hand) it dies, if I give it none, it dies. More confusingly, if I have the clutch held in, it wont start at all. If I have the choke on, it wont start at all. If I have the throttle open it wont start at all. It wouldn't be that big of a deal except that if I mess up and it dies once, it usually takes me about 15-20 starts to get it actually going. Once I get it fired and running at a decent rpm then it is fine to ride. Any help on fixing this issue? I wouldn't mind if I just needed to let it warm up, but for such a new(ish) bike I feel like I shouldn't need to sweet talk it to even stay on?

p.s.
first post so sorry if this is a common question
