This is all about what happened Tuesday morning...........but to tell the story, I must start in July 2007. That is when I bought my first and present cruiser, a '96 1500 Vulcan Classic. I had been looking for about 2 weeks. My previous street bike was a Yamaha 750 Seca that I had way back in '91. I took a friend with me the nite I went down to look at it........a friend that knew how to ride and had an M1 endorsement. There was no way I was going to ride it back for the first time....on the freeway......at nite. I have done some crazy things, but I am not stupid. I bought the bike.....my friend rode it to my place and I put it to bed......then I went to bed feeling very good and dreaming of how I would ride all over the countryside on that bike.

The next day, I went out and bought a helmet and boots. That night, after work, I suited up for the big ride. I started it up, duckwalked out the driveway, rode around the block, parked it and came to the conclusion that I would never be able to ride that thing. It was heavy, awkward, clumsy and just downright scary. Throttle body ripped off. Fixed, has Hypercharger on it now. Hogs too much knee room. The small mounting lugs were broken off the cylinder heads on the right side. My question: What air intake does not need those hardpoints. Do any just bolt to the throttle body? I am curious if it gets in the way of your leg. I had a Hypercharger on my old Nomad and pulled it off because is drove me nuts. I put a Thunder Tornado on the Nomad and loved it. It wasn't in the way of my leg at all. I have some friends with Vulcan 900 and the exhaust pipes have holes with a drill to make it sound better.

The trailer is 180 lbs. The combined weight is 260 lbs.

I've been thinking on putting a hitch on my 900 custom so that I can tow my boat and throw my fishing supplies into the boat. What do you all think?

I told her about a sissybar etc etc, BUT I want some kind of contraption to swiftly take off the sissybar when she's not with me.

A mate of mine has made something for his Harley, but its not really THAT quick.
I don't want to take the whole thing off, the hinges can stay on.
Maybe saw the bars which go upwards ? Place a smaller tubing in the existing bars and with somekind of screw or latch ??
