I just got done riding the 250 around. But when I was done and shut it off.. I hear this sound it sounded like a the fan was still running, if bikes have fans I Don't know lol. But it was like (thump thump thump) kinda like a fan was spinning around wile it was slowing down. it started off fast but in about maybe 2-3minsloweddow and stopped..
The guy I got the bike from did not have the owners manual, so I cant read up on my bike and what's all in it |

It's not exactly an owners manual and there is a subsciption charge, but this may be useful:
Kawasaki EX250 Ninja 250 Online Service Manual : Cyclepedia Press LLC also, 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R with a rundown on specs. Excerpt: Liquid Cooling - Latest generation Denso radiator offers superior cooling with minimal space and weight - Ring-fan uses a quiet-running motor that also saves space- Fins on the lower side of the crankcase further helps cool the engine.

With the heat we've been having I'd be concerned if the fan wasn't running. You might continue the research, but it sounds like the fan was doing it's job.

That is normal. When the engine temp reaches a certain level, the fan will kick on, and then when it cools down some, it will stop. Typically you are moving a little slower at the end of a ride, reducing natural airflow through the radiator. This causes the engine to heat up more and the fan will kick on. Then you shut the bike down, it is still hot, so the fan keeps running for a couple minutes to cool things off more. Perfectly normal.

lol i posted this question a little bit ago... should have looked at the faq. well i learned that its the fans and radiator. it happened to me once and it sounded like a vacuum so its normal. even when its turned off. i read in the owners manual to be careful when your around there because they kick on at any time. even when your bike is off. i have an 03 ninja 250

I had an 08 250R last year and mine did the same thing when I turned it off. Nothing to worry about.
