1982 kz440 needs a new engine

i just bought a 1982 kz440 that has the bottom part of the engine blown. i was wondering if there were any sites that would be good to find either a whole one or just the bottom. anything will help thanks.

thanks i'll check out those sites. i'm actually working with my neighbor who is also working on a bike and he is pretty good at welding so were you thinking like we'd have to alter the frame or just weld some random peices of metal to get the bolt holes to line up in order to make the swap?

The 650 engine won't work well in that frame if it's the KZ 4 banger.. however, if you get your hands on an engine from a EX 650 (inline twin), EX500, or Vulcan 500 those should work fine (particularly the Vulcan 500) probably need to do some custom mounting, but I wouldn't imagine anything impossible.

Might want to check out craigslist also. I see a lot of those bikes on there.
