I just bought a 1979 kz1000 drag bike and its been set up and run at Texas Motorplex. The guy who had run the bike was put in jail and his buddy bought it from him to help him out with bail money. I found the bike on ebay and went to his house to check it out and come to find out, the guy who had bought it, messed with all the carb screws and ran the bike on a gas/oil mix just because he was retarded and had no idea what he was doing. I bought the bike and ran some higher octane fuel through it and tried to adjust the idle screws at least the same amount. It has mikuni carbs and I have no idea what kind of reading or adjustment i should be looking for on my synchro gauges. If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks! |
